Daniel began his TV commentary career in 1993 working for Cable 7 in Leicester, where he was named Sports Commentator of the Year.
Alongside this, he covered basketball for BBC Radio Leicester, providing match reports and live commentary for nine years.
In 1998, Daniel joined Sky Sports as the commentator for their coverage of the British Basketball League and he has been commentating on the British game for various channels ever since. He has commentated on every major channel in the UK.
Daniel covered his first international tournament in 2006, the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar and has since covered two FIBA World Cups as well as continental championships in Europe, Asia and Africa.
In 2012, Daniel covered wheelchair basketball for the first time working for Channel 4 at the London Paralympics and he was also in Tokyo for the 2020 Paralympic Games. He has covered British domestic and international Wheelchair Basketball tournaments for over a decade.
